Paintings Take You Back To St. Louis’ Past (Fox2Now)
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – It might be a paint brush to most, but for Joe Moskus it’s a way to go back in time to Gas Light Square and reconnect with his dad.
During the heyday of the happening place in St. Louis. His father, Frank Moskus owned the Gaslight Bar. Thats where he played music, took pictures and made paintings of his surroundings. After his dad passed from cancer Joe found a box with some old slides. That’s when Joe decided to recreate and reconnect.
You can walk back in time and see St. Louis’ past up close simply by heading into Joe’s cafe gallery near the Central West End. That’s where Moskus is part of a Gaslight Square showcase.
